Dragonfly Scarf Necklace

€165.00

Dragonflies have been flying for more than 300 million years. They can hover in place, fly backward, and change direction without slowing down: few animals embody lightness quite as well.

Art Nouveau made the dragonfly one of its favourite motifs, thanks to its finely veined wings, which lend themselves well to openwork. Our brass stampings retain this network of veins, which is so fine that it lets light shine through.

24k gold-plated brass · French brass stamping · Handmade in Nice

At 110 cm, it’s the most versatile piece in the collection: worn as a long necklace over a solid-colour sweater, wrapped twice around the neck to shorten it, tied halfway down, or draped across the back of a low-cut dress.

The craft

This motif is struck from an antique die, hand-engraved in steel, using a French technique that has remained unchanged for nearly two centuries. Discover the story behind our brass stampings.

Features

  • Chain length: 117 cm

  • Design dimensions: 4 × 5 cm

  • Brass plated with 24k fine gold

  • 100% Made in France

  • Nickel- and lead-free

  • Reference: CO-0008

117 cm—isn't that too long? It's a long necklace, designed to fall just below the bust when worn as a single strand or to rest on the collarbone when worn as a double strand.
